Production Artist - Licensed Apparel

Our Product Development team (reigning champs of our annual costume contest), is looking for someone who is passionate about Licensed Fashion apparel and has an eye for details. The Production Artist is responsible for evaluating pre-production strike-off samples submitted by our Vendors. This role involves evaluating samples for quality, size, technique and checking colors based on Pantone standards against provided art file. Reviewing with Design and Production teams in person or remotely, then filling out and completing clear, accurate summaries of sample evaluation for Vendors to follow for any and all adjustments and revisions.

This role operates from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA five days a week.

Pay range

    $27.00 - $28.00 an hour

    Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Review and manage art submits from vendors, comments, revisions and approvals
  • Log, photograph, evaluate and file submitted samples
  • Utilize preproduction expertise to advise PD Teams and Vendors on how to best revise and resubmit strike-offs for successful execution
  • Responsible for maintaining open communication and working relationship with cross functional partners including design, product development, and licensing
  • Performs other job duties as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience apparel art room production within a fashion retail company and/or agency
  • Formal training (certified) and/or educational background in Graphic Arts required. AA or BA in Graphic Design preferred
  • Expert level proficiency in a MAC based environment, utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator and Microsoft Office
  • Preproduction experience in Fashion apparel with background in separating art and preparing files to be print ready for overseas vendors
  • Excellent communication skills across all areas
